The Opportunity:

As a GCSE Maths Coordinator, you will lead and inspire young people aged 16-19 to achieve outstanding results in maths. This is a pivotal role in shaping student success and driving academic excellence within a supportive and ambitious educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in GCSE Maths to ensure student progression and achievement.
  • Coordinate and manage the GCSE Maths curriculum, ensuring it meets the highest standards and aligns with school objectives.
  • Support and mentor colleagues, fostering a culture of professional development and collaboration.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing targeted support to help learners reach their full potential.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student engagement and outcomes in maths.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to student learning.
  • Promote the school's vision and values, including the CTK Graces, within the maths department.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, curriculum developments, and best practices in maths education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in GCSE Maths teaching.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning in a Sixth Form setting.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills.
  • Experience in developing and managing a maths curriculum.
  • Commitment to student success and character development.

Preferred

  • Experience with T Levels or Applied Technical Qualifications.
  • Background in Catholic education or a commitment to the school's values.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading a department.
  • Familiarity with the CTK Graces and character education principles.
