The Opportunity:

As an Additional Learning Support Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that students with learning disabilities receive the support they need to succeed. This is a leadership position that requires collaboration with local authorities, parents, and staff to deliver effective learning support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Supported Learning department
  • Coordinate with local authorities and parents to secure appropriate funding and resources
  • Line manage coordinators and support staff to ensure effective deployment and student support
  • Deliver teaching and support sessions, including 1-2-1 and group support
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to support staff
  • Ensure the effective implementation and management of EHCPS for students
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Group Curriculum Director to align departmental goals with institutional priorities
  • Support the development and delivery of the Supported Learning curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
  • Teacher trained with experience in Supported Learning or SEND
  • Management experience in an educational setting
  • Experience in working with students with learning disabilities or special educational needs
  • Ability to coordinate with local authorities, parents, and educational staff

Preferred

  • SENDCO experience
  • Experience with EHCPS planning and implementation
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in managing a team of support staff
