Key Responsibilities:
- Teach GCSE English Language and Functional Skills to a diverse range of learners.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that support student achievement and progression.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to different learning styles and needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the overall success of the department.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and a teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching a diverse range of learners, including 16-19-year-olds and adult learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Preferred
- Experience with Functional Skills qualifications.
- Previous experience in further education or adult learning.
- Familiarity with GCSE English Language curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students.
