Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote student progress and achievement
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students of all abilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
  • Support the school’s ethos and values through active participation in pastoral and extra-curricular activities
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure consistent progress

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and raising attainment for all students
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
  • Familiarity with Catholic ethos and values
  • Experience in professional development or leadership roles
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
