The Opportunity:
As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the continued success of the school’s outstanding English department. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, inspiring students to achieve their full potential, and contributing to the school’s enrichment programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons to students across key stages.
- Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A-level results.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote independent learning.
- Contribute to the school’s enrichment programme and extracurricular activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve departmental performance and student outcomes.
- Participate in the school’s professional development and research-based learning initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Support students’ personal and academic growth through pastoral care and guidance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Experience of teaching both GCSE and A-level English.
- Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Familiarity with research-based teaching strategies.
- Experience with safeguarding and pastoral care.
- Strong commitment to inclusion and diversity in education.
