The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire a love of literature and language.
- Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential through differentiated teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a dynamic and engaging English curriculum.
- Participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including the Poet in Residence and Librarian initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching and learning across the department.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and leadership skills.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching English.
- Experience in delivering engaging and effective lessons to a range of abilities.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience with extra-curricular activities in English, such as drama, writing clubs, or poetry events.
- Experience in a faith-based or values-driven educational setting.
- Experience with pastoral care or student support initiatives.
- Familiarity with Catholic values and inclusive education practices.
