The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of English, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons that inspire a love of learning and promote high standards of attainment
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum, ensuring it meets national standards and supports student progression
- Participate in departmental activities, including enrichment programmes and field trips, to enhance the learning experience
- Monitor and support student progress, providing regular feedback and reporting to parents and carers
- Act as a Form Tutor, promoting positive behaviour and fostering a strong sense of discipline and responsibility
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree in English or a related discipline
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and exam specifications
- Excellent organisational and classroom management skills
Preferred
- Experience in teaching a range of abilities
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Experience with pastoral care or form tutoring
