The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of English, you will inspire and challenge students aged 11-18 in a school consistently rated Outstanding by OfSTED. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and supporting student development both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons up to A-Level standard
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support the academic and personal development of students
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the school's educational standards
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress
- Engage with parents and the wider school community
- Contribute to the school’s mission of promoting Catholic values and intercultural understanding
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching or meeting ECT standards
- Ability to teach English up to A-Level
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for English education
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to the school’s values and mission
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Background in Catholic education or community work
- Demonstrated success in raising student achievement
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
