The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified English Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students with special educational needs, while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEND.
  • Manage and support a designated class, with opportunities to teach across the school.
  • Create an inclusive and safe classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants to support student learning and behavior.
  • Continuously develop professional knowledge in SEND, neurodiversity, and positive behavior support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Participate in staff development and training programs to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching English at a relevant level
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
  • Commitment to working with students with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching students with SEND
  • Knowledge of neurodiversity and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Experience with curriculum development and differentiation
  • Background in continuous professional development and training
