The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join a dynamic and highly successful department. This role offers the chance to work with a large and enthusiastic student body, including those preparing for advanced qualifications such as A Level Further Mathematics and Oxbridge entrance exams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE, A Level, and advanced entrance exams such as TMUA and STEP.
  • Collaborate with department leads to ensure a challenging and engaging curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of GCSE Further Mathematics and Statistics.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as part of a committed teaching team.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and continuous professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities related to mathematics.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching mathematics up to GCSE level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Experience working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
  • Familiarity with advanced mathematics entrance exams such as TMUA and STEP.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of the mathematics curriculum.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
