The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students at GCSE level.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school’s leadership programme and broader curriculum initiatives.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and leadership skills.
  • Engage with students on a personal level to nurture their academic and personal growth.
  • Contribute to school events and activities that promote the values of respect, discipline, and mutual care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving student progress and achievement.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a faith-based or inclusive educational setting.
  • Experience with leadership development or character education.
  • Experience in innovative and creative teaching methods.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational structure.
