Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, tailored to a range of abilities.
- Foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking through engaging and inclusive teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and effective teaching resources and strategies.
- Support students in co-curricular activities such as creative writing, debating, and school publications.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Contribute to departmental planning and professional development initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in English Literature and Language.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Commitment to academic excellence and student success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with KS5 teaching and the IB Career-related Programme.
- Background in co-curricular activities such as debating or creative writing.
- Experience in a collaborative teaching environment.
