The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated English Teacher to join our dedicated team and support students in Key Stages 3 & 4. This is a chance to make a real impact on student achievement and contribute to a school that consistently delivers strong outcomes and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to Key Stages 3 & 4 students, ensuring engaging and effective teaching.
- Develop and implement schemes of work aligned with the school’s curriculum and student needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental development.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and pastoral care.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student performance and attainment.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 & 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver outstanding outcomes for students.
- Commitment to student progress and a track record of improving student achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience of working in a multi-academy trust or similar setting.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Experience of working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience of leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
