The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated English Teacher to join our dedicated team and support students in Key Stages 3 & 4. This is a chance to make a real impact on student achievement and contribute to a school that consistently delivers strong outcomes and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to Key Stages 3 & 4 students, ensuring engaging and effective teaching.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work aligned with the school’s curriculum and student needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental development.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and pastoral care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student performance and attainment.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 & 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver outstanding outcomes for students.
  • Commitment to student progress and a track record of improving student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a multi-academy trust or similar setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Experience of working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience of leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
