Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons using the Explicit Direction Instruction model.
• Support students in achieving strong outcomes in Geography at GCSE level.
• Contribute to the development and sharing of best practice within the department.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and student well-being.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and improve teaching standards.
• Ensure the curriculum is aligned with the school’s values and mission.
• Support students in developing independent learning skills and a lifelong passion for Geography.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography.
• Proven ability to deliver effective lessons that improve student achievement.
• Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Commitment to the school’s values of respect, excellence, and responsibility.
• Experience in working with students of all abilities.

Preferred

• Experience with explicit instruction teaching methods.
• Background in pastoral care or student support.
