The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons using the Explicit Direction Instruction model.
- Support students in achieving strong outcomes in Geography at GCSE level.
- Contribute to the development and sharing of best practice within the department.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and student well-being.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and improve teaching standards.
- Ensure the curriculum is aligned with the school’s values and mission.
- Support students in developing independent learning skills and a lifelong passion for Geography.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography.
- Proven ability to deliver effective lessons that improve student achievement.
- Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to the school’s values of respect, excellence, and responsibility.
- Experience in working with students of all abilities.
Preferred
- Experience with explicit instruction teaching methods.
- Background in pastoral care or student support.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
