The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Art department, ensuring a high-quality curriculum and student engagement.
• Deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences across all key stages.
• Develop and implement effective assessment and monitoring strategies.
• Support and mentor other Art staff to promote professional growth.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning.
• Promote a vibrant and inclusive Art culture within the school.
• Oversee the management of Art resources and facilities.
• Contribute to the development of the school’s enrichment programme.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Art education.
• Proven leadership experience in a school setting.
• Ability to teach Art at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development.
• Leadership in a large department.
• Experience with enrichment and extra-curricular activities.
• Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school inspections.
