Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement effective schemes of work and resources to support student learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback to support improvement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and coaching sessions to enhance your practice.
  • Support the school’s mission-driven approach through excellent teaching and pastoral care.
  • Engage in school-wide initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a second language.
  • Experience in developing and delivering schemes of work.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching strategies and technologies.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
