Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement effective schemes of work and resources to support student learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback to support improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and coaching sessions to enhance your practice.
- Support the school’s mission-driven approach through excellent teaching and pastoral care.
- Engage in school-wide initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in English.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching English as a second language.
- Experience in developing and delivering schemes of work.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching strategies and technologies.
- Experience in pastoral care and student support.
