Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons to students aged 11–18.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that drives achievement and fosters a love of learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure outstanding academic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s leadership programme and character development initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, ensuring their well-being and success.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the school’s culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Demonstrable experience in achieving outstanding student outcomes.
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in a faith-based or diverse educational setting.
  • Background in leadership development or character education.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and curriculum design.
  • Commitment to working in a disadvantaged community.
