Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an engaging and enriching English curriculum across all key stages.
  • Develop and refine curriculum resources to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Lead and contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities in English.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality teaching approach.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and pastoral care.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of teaching practices through professional development and coaching.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high standards of achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in English education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Commitment to the school’s inclusive Christian ethos and values.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading extracurricular activities in English.
  • Familiarity with curriculum design and resource development.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
