Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Business Studies department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of students aged 11-18 and aligns with school values.
  • Support and mentor a team of teachers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Deliver outstanding teaching at Key Stages 4 and 5, with a focus on student achievement and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership to contribute to the strategic direction of the school.
  • Promote the school's ethos and core values across all aspects of the department.
  • Engage with the wider school community and contribute to general school life as a Middle Leader.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Valid right to work in the UK without restriction
  • Proven experience in teaching Business Studies at Key Stages 4 and 5
  • Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and presentational abilities
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or middle management role
  • Background in Catholic education or a similar values-based institution
  • Experience in supporting the spiritual and personal development of students
  • Familiarity with international educational partnerships or cross-cultural collaboration
