Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and support students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to provide targeted feedback
  • Plan and deliver creative, reflective schemes of work
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support student progress
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Stay up to date with new pedagogy and incorporate innovative teaching methods
  • Work closely with the pastoral support team to ensure student well-being and behaviour for learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in secondary education
  • Strong subject knowledge in English
  • Experience of teaching across multiple key stages
  • Commitment to student progress and well-being
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a second language
  • Experience in using technology in the classroom
  • Experience with instructional coaching or professional development
  • Experience in behaviour management and pastoral care
