Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school improvement and curriculum development.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Participate in professional development and staff training programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Ability to teach English to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching English.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Experience in a school environment with a focus on staff and student wellbeing.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering KS5 English qualifications.
  • Familiarity with current teaching methodologies and curriculum requirements.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
