Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring engaging and effective lessons.
  • Develop and deliver a curriculum that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continue growing as an educator.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior staff.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Science to Key Stages 3 and 4 students.
  • Commitment to promoting high standards of learning and student achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 5.
  • Background in professional development and continuous learning.
  • Experience with innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Passion for Science and a commitment to inspiring students.
