Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Psychology to KS4 and KS5 students with enthusiasm and expertise.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students, ensuring they develop a love of learning.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in the school’s programme of professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through pastoral care and extracurricular activities.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Psychology and education.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents to support student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Relevant degree in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Psychology at KS4 and KS5 level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Familiarity with using digital tools in the classroom.
  • Experience in a school that has been graded Good by Ofsted.
