Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure consistent standards are met.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and curriculum development.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Participate in staff training and development opportunities.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and events related to the Maths department.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Ability to teach KS5 Maths classes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering Maths lessons using innovative and technology-enhanced teaching methods.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Experience in working within a school that prioritises staff well-being and professional growth.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices in Maths teaching.
