Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure consistent standards are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and curriculum development.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in staff training and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and events related to the Maths department.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Ability to teach KS5 Maths classes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Maths lessons using innovative and technology-enhanced teaching methods.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Experience in working within a school that prioritises staff well-being and professional growth.
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices in Maths teaching.
