The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring English Teacher to join our dynamic department and make a meaningful impact on students' learning and growth. This role offers the chance to teach across the secondary age range and contribute to a values-led, innovative curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English across the full secondary age range with creativity and high expectations.
- Inspire and challenge students of all abilities, fostering critical thinking and self-expression.
- Deliver engaging lessons that reflect a deep understanding of literature and language.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme.
- Participate actively in the school’s vibrant Co-Curricular programme.
- Support the school’s mission to develop reflective, purposeful adults and global changemakers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Take on additional responsibilities, such as Second in Department, where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language.
- Experience teaching across the secondary age range.
- Commitment to a values-led, inclusive educational environment.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
Preferred
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme.
- Involvement in or leadership of a Co-Curricular programme.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development.
- Experience in fostering critical thinking and communication skills in students.
