The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of students in KS3-KS4. You will deliver high-quality maths education using modern teaching methods and technology, while supporting students to become confident, self-directed learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and GCSE specifications.
- Implement innovative teaching methods, including the use of online resources and video conferencing.
- Support students in developing self-directed learning skills and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school and globally to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents to ensure continuous progress and development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training through the school’s Global Teacher Academy.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and growth.
- Stay up to date with current maths education trends and incorporate them into lesson planning and delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area.
- Recent experience teaching maths to students in KS3-KS4.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for GCSE Maths and exam specifications.
- Ability to adapt traditional teaching methods to modern, self-directed learning approaches.
Preferred
- Experience with technology-enhanced teaching methods and online learning platforms.
- Familiarity with self-directed learning frameworks and pedagogical approaches.
- Experience working in a global or international school setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
