Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
- Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care responsibilities.
- Ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Familiarity with current educational trends and pedagogical approaches.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and engagement.
