Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons across all key stages, including A-Level.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Play an active role in the extra-curricular life of the school, including events and activities aligned with the school’s ethos.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the continued success of the department and the school as a whole.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students in line with the school’s values and traditions.
  • Maintain accurate records and assess student progress in accordance with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
  • Willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Ability to teach across all key stages, including A-Level.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering engaging curriculum content.
  • Background in pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with Catholic education and its principles.
  • Experience with continuing professional development and leadership in teaching.
