Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons across all key stages, including A-Level.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for learning.
- Play an active role in the extra-curricular life of the school, including events and activities aligned with the school’s ethos.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the continued success of the department and the school as a whole.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students in line with the school’s values and traditions.
- Maintain accurate records and assess student progress in accordance with school policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
- Willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
- Ability to teach across all key stages, including A-Level.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering engaging curriculum content.
- Background in pastoral care and student support.
- Familiarity with Catholic education and its principles.
- Experience with continuing professional development and leadership in teaching.
