Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach mathematics across key stages and ability ranges with confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote deep understanding and a love of mathematics.
  • Support the development of students’ problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Participate actively in the extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s academic standards.
  • Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the Maths department.
  • Uphold and promote the school’s Catholic ethos in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students through adherence to safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Full teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching mathematics at key stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A-level Mathematics or Further Mathematics.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities such as maths clubs or competitions.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with using digital tools and resources in teaching.
