Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Food Studies lessons across all key stages.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages practical skills, creativity, and knowledge of nutrition and food preparation.
- Support students from diverse backgrounds, including those from deprived communities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular links and provide a well-rounded education.
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a degree-level qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching Food Studies or a related subject.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to supporting students from deprived communities.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and cross-curricular planning.
- Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
- Experience in extracurricular activities or school events.
- Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on personal development and character education.
