The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Spanish Teacher to join a vibrant and experienced MFL department. This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher and involves teaching Years 7–11. The successful candidate will contribute to a seamless educational experience across the school, working closely with colleagues in both the Prep and Senior schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons to Years 7–11, using innovative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Support the development of students’ language skills through both curricular and co-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the MFL department and across the school to ensure a consistent and effective approach to teaching and learning.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum that promotes academic and personal development.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the coordination of school events and activities that promote language learning and cultural awareness.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Spanish.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching languages.
  • Experience working with students aged 11–16.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school’s educational vision.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching French, though not essential.
  • Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on personal development and academic excellence.
  • Familiarity with co-curricular activities that enhance language learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
