Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 depending on experience)
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire all learners
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the English curriculum
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion
  • Participate actively in co-curricular activities and school events
  • Support the professional development of students and colleagues
  • Use evidence-informed teaching practices to enhance student outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in English
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing
  • Experience in teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a second language
  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities
  • Experience with digital teaching tools and resources
  • Strong leadership and team-working skills
