The Opportunity:
As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping students’ academic and personal development. You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, ensuring students are equipped with the skills needed for success in education and beyond. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English to students aged 11–18 across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
- Design and deliver a challenging, relevant, and personalized curriculum
- Ensure all students make good or outstanding progress in English
- Contribute to professional development and share best practice with colleagues
- Promote English and literacy across the school through creative and engaging learning opportunities
- Organize trips, invite guest speakers, and lead enrichment programs
- Run at least one extra-curricular activity per week
- Support intervention programs and lead project-based learning initiatives
- Collaborate with parents to support student progress and development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons and achieve outstanding student outcomes
- Commitment to the school’s vision and values
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Preferred
- Experience in leading curriculum development
- Familiarity with project-based learning and innovative teaching methods
- Experience with ICT integration in the classroom
- Experience with GCSE and A-Level English qualifications
- Experience in mentoring or coaching colleagues
