The Opportunity:

As a Resident Graduate Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic, social and personal development within a residential Boarding House. This is a unique opportunity to live on-site and be an active member of a vibrant and supportive community, making a meaningful impact on students’ lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with boarding duties on a directed-time rota
  • Reside overnight in the Boarding House from 11.00pm on designated nights during term time
  • Organise and lead social events, trips and activities
  • Supervise prep and support students with their academic routines
  • Accompany students to medical appointments when required
  • Contribute to the domestic and administrative operation of the House
  • Maintain accurate records using the House Diary
  • Support the preparation of House teams for Inter-House competitions
  • Communicate relevant and confidential student matters appropriately to senior staff

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A graduate with a relevant qualification
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative
  • Commitment to supporting student welfare and development
  • Flexibility and willingness to work evenings and weekends when required

Preferred

  • Experience in a pastoral or educational setting
  • Experience with boarding or residential care
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with student welfare systems and record-keeping
