The Opportunity:

As a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring students from Year 4 to Year 8 to develop a passion for languages. You will contribute to a forward-thinking curriculum and work closely with the Head of MFL (Prep) to deliver high-quality education. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French and Spanish to students across Year 4 to Year 8.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Support the Head of MFL (Prep) in implementing the school’s ambitious curriculum and development plans.
  • Ensure the MFL curriculum is cohesive, progressive, and aligned across year groups.
  • Foster a love of languages and cultural understanding in all students.
  • Collaborate with the MFL department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in language teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Strong background in delivering French and Spanish at Key Stage 2 and 3.
  • Ability to challenge and support students of varying abilities.
  • Passion for languages, communication, and cultural understanding.
  • Experience working in a school environment with a strong ethos of student development.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing curriculum plans.
  • Familiarity with teaching in a co-educational setting.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
