The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified English Teacher for a fixed-term role covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering inspiring and engaging lessons that foster a love of learning. This is an excellent opportunity for ECTs to gain valuable experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching practices.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
• Support the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning.
• Use digital tools and resources, including Google Classroom and G Suite for Education.
• Maintain accurate records and meet all administrative requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English.
• Experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Commitment to student-centered learning and high standards.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience with ECTs or early career development.
• Familiarity with Google Classroom and related systems.
• Experience in delivering innovative and inclusive teaching practices.
• A passion for developing students’ love of English and literature.
