Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of high-quality English lessons to students aged 11-16
• Collaborate with experienced mentors and colleagues to enhance teaching practice
• Participate in the school’s bespoke initial teacher training programme
• Engage in co-curricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school
• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote student engagement and learning
• Regularly reflect on and evaluate teaching performance with mentors and senior staff
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Take responsibility for self-funded course fees as part of the unsalaried training route

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A strong undergraduate degree in a relevant subject
• Commitment to developing as an English teacher
• Willingness to take on a small timetable that increases over time
• Ability to inspire and motivate students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Prior experience in teaching or education-related roles
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
