The Opportunity:
As an Estates Assistant, you will support the operations team in maintaining the school site and assisting with a wide range of daily tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, a good communicator, and enjoys working as part of a team to ensure the school runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with a variety of maintenance tasks across the school site.
- Support the team with general duties and event setup and facilitation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment for students and staff.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Assist in the management of day-to-day operations under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to support school events and activities.
- Maintain records and report on tasks completed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Flexibility and willingness to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.
- Basic maintenance and cleaning skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and working with children.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in an educational setting.
- Experience with event setup and management.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Experience with using basic tools and equipment.
- Experience with child protection screening processes.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £28k to £31k, negotiable based on skills and experience.
