The Opportunity:

As an Estates Assistant, you will support the operations team in maintaining the school site and assisting with a wide range of daily tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, a good communicator, and enjoys working as part of a team to ensure the school runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a variety of maintenance tasks across the school site.
  • Support the team with general duties and event setup and facilitation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment for students and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day operations under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support school events and activities.
  • Maintain records and report on tasks completed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Flexibility and willingness to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.
  • Basic maintenance and cleaning skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and working with children.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Experience with event setup and management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Experience with using basic tools and equipment.
  • Experience with child protection screening processes.
