The Opportunity:

As an Estates Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the facilities and ensuring the school environment is safe, functional, and welcoming for students and staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage school buildings, ensuring they are clean, safe, and in good condition.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repair tasks as required.
  • Assist with the organisation and execution of school events and activities.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of school premises and equipment.
  • Support the Estates Manager in the day-to-day running of the estate.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with the storage and distribution of school supplies and resources.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and visitors regarding estate-related matters.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a similar role or relevant estate maintenance work.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of building management systems or software.
  • Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, or carpentry tasks.
  • Familiarity with school operations and events planning.
