The Opportunity:

As a School Meals Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and well-organised lunchtime experience for students aged 3 to 11. You will supervise students in the dining room and playground, promoting positive behaviour and good table manners. This is a vital role in supporting the school’s mission to provide a happy and inclusive learning environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during lunchtimes in the dining room and playground.
  • Encourage and model good table manners and positive behaviour.
  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate play activities to support student development.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support the school’s values and culture through a caring and approachable attitude.
  • Assist in the organisation and management of lunchtime routines and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the school’s policies and procedures during lunchtimes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience supervising children aged 3 to 11.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good sense of humour and a positive, approachable attitude.
  • Experience delivering play activities to young children.
  • Commitment to promoting positive behaviour and good table manners.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Customer service or care experience.
  • Knowledge of child development and behaviour management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
