The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Estates Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of our campus. This role is essential in ensuring the school environment remains safe, functional, and welcoming for students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair in-house buildings, including painting, decorating, and carpentry
- Monitor and record water quality in the swimming pool, with training provided if required
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including legionella, fire safety, asbestos, and emergency lighting
- Inspect school transport and perform cleaning and occasional driving duties
- Coordinate with external contractors during their time on site
- Support the overall maintenance and operational needs of the school campus
- Assist with general upkeep and ensure all areas are kept in good condition
- Liaise with relevant staff and departments to address maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong general DIY and maintenance skills
- Full driving licence
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, can-do attitude
Preferred
- Experience in carpentry
- Previous experience working with young people
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Experience with swimming pool maintenance
