The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and secure running of the examinations process. Your attention to detail and adherence to JCQ regulations will support the school in maintaining the highest standards of assessment and student integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms in accordance with JCQ guidelines.
  • Ensure all required materials are available and securely stored before, during, and after exams.
  • Monitor candidates to ensure compliance with examination rules and regulations.
  • Escort and supervise candidates as required, including during breaks and between exams.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all examination materials and scripts.
  • Assist students with special requirements, such as read and scribe support.
  • Adhere to strict data protection and confidentiality protocols.
  • Support the Examinations Officer in the day-to-day management of the exams season.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and appropriate appearance at all times.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain vigilant during exams.
  • Good numeracy and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork and reliability.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting or with examinations.
  • Knowledge of JCQ regulations and examination procedures.
  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs.
