The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and smooth running of internal and external examinations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards will support students in achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with JCQ’s ICE Regulations during both internal and external examinations.
  • Monitor and supervise students during exams to maintain a fair and secure environment.
  • Support the smooth administration of examination processes, including setup and breakdown of exam rooms.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and external examiners as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and report any incidents or concerns promptly.
  • Uphold the school’s values and standards at all times.
  • Work flexibly during exam periods as required.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure a consistent and professional approach to invigilation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience of working with children aged 11-16 in an education setting.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to work flexibly during exam periods.

Preferred

  • Experience in exam invigilation or similar roles.
  • Knowledge of JCQ’s ICE Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
