The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of examinations throughout the academic year. This part-time position requires flexibility and a strong attention to detail, with working hours aligned to the school's exam timetable. You will support the Examinations Officer and contribute to the overall success of the school's assessment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with examination queries and communication with students, parents, staff, and external organisations.
- Liaise with Subject Team Leaders to ensure examination requirements are met.
- Make and amend examination entries as necessary.
- Prepare and distribute examination timetables and seating plans.
- Coordinate invigilation, including managing availability and correspondence with invigilators.
- Set up and manage examination rooms and materials.
- Check and pack examination scripts for dispatch to examiners.
- Prepare and distribute exam certificates.
- Provide general administrative support as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied workload.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an examination or invigilation role.
- Familiarity with school administration systems.
- Experience with student support and pastoral care.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in an educational environment.
