The Opportunity:

As an Exams Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and compliant administration of internal and public examinations. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organised, and passionate about supporting educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare exam rooms and manage seating plans in accordance with JCQ and Cambridge International regulations.
  • Support invigilators and ensure exams are conducted in a fair and secure environment.
  • Manage the distribution, collection, and storage of exam papers and scripts.
  • Assist with access arrangements for candidates with special needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate data on the school's management system.
  • Support the processing of exam results and certificate issuance.
  • Collaborate with the Examinations Officer to ensure all procedures are followed correctly.
  • Stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in an education or exams setting.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience with exam administration or invigilation.
  • Familiarity with JCQ and Cambridge International regulations.
  • Experience using school management systems such as iSAMS.
