The Opportunity:

As an Exams Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and compliant delivery of national examinations. You will work closely with multiple teams to support students in achieving excellent results. This is a key leadership role in a school with a strong academic reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, coordination, and delivery of GCSE, A Level, and vocational examinations.
  • Ensure compliance with examination regulations and standards.
  • Liaise with Heads of Department, invigilators, and the Data Team to support exam processes.
  • Oversee the administration of exam entries, results, and data reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff and students on examination procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of all examination-related activities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to improve examination performance and processes.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient examination cycle from entry to results.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as an Exams Officer or in a similar role within a secondary school.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of GCSE, A Level, and vocational examination systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with data management and reporting systems.
  • Previous leadership experience within an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes.
  • Experience in a high-performing academy or outstanding school.
