The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced MFL Teacher - French and Spanish to join a high-performing school and help establish a world-class Modern Languages programme. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of language education in a dynamic and ambitious school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach approximately a 50% timetable allocation, split between French and Spanish, with potential for growth
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons, including support for students with additional needs
  • Promote the study of Modern Languages across the school
  • Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and collaborative planning
  • Support super-curricular engagement and student enrichment in Modern Languages
  • Participate in lesson observations, work scrutinies, and professional development
  • Assist in the development and marking of assessment papers for admissions and scholarships
  • Contribute to internal examinations and pastoral support where required
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive, inspiring learning environment
  • Support Community Partnership opportunities and additional responsibilities such as coaching or pastoral oversight

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent with a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Significant experience in delivering outstanding French and Spanish provision in a high-performing school
  • Ability to teach at least one of French or Spanish to A Level

Preferred

  • Experience with super-curricular and enrichment activities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in pastoral support or coaching
