The Opportunity:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will deliver specialist assessment and intervention to support pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, or SEMH needs. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact within a multidisciplinary team focused on fostering independence and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Work collaboratively with education teams to support pupils in achieving independence and personal goals.
  • Maintain an occupational therapy caseload with the support of a designated clinical supervisor.
  • Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
  • Develop and implement sensory-informed practice where appropriate.
  • Write clear and concise reports to document pupil progress and interventions.
  • Engage with pupils in a person-centred and empowering manner.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and the school’s ways of working.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration.
  • Registered member of RCOT.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in occupational therapy.
  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals or those with socio-emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Sound knowledge of OT theory and its application to support independence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Preferred

  • Experience in providing occupational therapy within a similar educational setting.
  • Experience with sensory integration or sensory-informed practice.
  • Completed or ongoing SI practitioner training.
