The Opportunity:

We are seeking an innovative and inspirational Executive Headteacher to lead and shape the future of education services at a school dedicated to supporting autistic learners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the strategic direction, quality, and outcomes of the school and college.
  • Act as an ambassador for education services, engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement policies that promote inclusive education and support for autistic students.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based teaching and learning experiences.
  • Oversee the performance of staff and provide leadership and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of educational programs to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos across all aspects of operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within education, particularly in special needs settings.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of autism and inclusive education practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the school’s mission and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing multi-site educational environments.
  • Background in leading curriculum development and innovation.
  • Experience with transdisciplinary teams and specialist support services.
  • Familiarity with the Ambitious Approach to education.
  • Experience in working with external partners and community organizations.
