The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, engaging PE curriculum across all age groups, supporting the physical, social, and emotional development of students. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire a love for sport and activity while contributing to the school's dynamic and innovative approach to education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative, inclusive, and engaging PE lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Support the development of coordination, agility, balance, and sport-specific skills.
  • Teach additional core subjects such as Maths and English as required.
  • Lead and manage school sports events, fixtures, and Sports Day.
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs and teams.
  • Promote wellbeing, positive behaviour, and resilience among students.
  • Maintain PE equipment and resources to a high standard.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure PE supports wider academic and developmental goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
  • Strong understanding of physical development from Early Years to KS2.
  • Ability to deliver creative, inclusive, and engaging PE lessons.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills.
  • Confident in teaching additional core subjects such as Maths and English.
  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, families, and staff.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading and managing school sports events.
  • Experience with extracurricular sports clubs or teams.
  • Experience with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Experience in driving a school minibus (training provided if required).
  • Experience in contributing to curriculum development.
